ABOUT 586 youth delegates have been registered ahead of the nomination for youth MPs for the central region, at Pope Paul Memorial Centre.

By Vision Reporter ABOUT 586 youth delegates have been registered ahead of the nomination for youth MPs for the central region, at Pope Paul Memorial Centre. The assistant returning officer in Kampala, James Segane, told The New Vision yesterday that the delegates would vote for the region youth MP on behalf of the electorates. He said the delegates from 18 districts, would be provided with accommodation and meals at Pope Paul Memorial Centre until the end of the nomination and polls. The nominations, wh-ich were scheduled for Wednesday, were postponed to Friday due to delay in registration of the delegates. The candidates and delegates complained that the Electoral Commission (EC) had not informed them about the venue of the nominations. A source at the EC said some nomination materials for upcountry regions were brought to the EC late. Ends
