Buikwe North MP-elect John Wilson Wagonda Muguli has appealed to the electorate in the constituency to unite.

By Josephine Maseruka Buikwe North MP-elect John Wilson Wagonda Muguli has appealed to the electorate in the constituency to unite. Muguli, a former permanent secretary, said he will ensure that he cooperates with the other four contestants "in order to unite the people for development." Muguli on Wednesday joined his supporters in a match through Njeru town council and Buikwe North Constituency. Muguli's excited supporters celebrated his victory by waving his posters and tree branches as they chanted, "Mzee wa kazi Wagonda, Gonda-gonda ebya Buikwe North bigonde!" He scooped 12,355 votes against his immediate opponent and incumbent Onyango Kakoba who got 9,663 votes. Others were Henry Lugona Mukooza with 5,332, Lawrence Kimbowa got 635, and Siat Kagoya with 567 votes. Ends
