By Joshua Kato A man in Kawempe stunned residents when he wailed after missing free transport for the new MP's swearing in ceremony. The man was one of the chief campaigners for the winning candidate. "He came soon after the free vechiles had left, he became so downcast that he began wailing," an eyewitness said. It is said that the man had planned so meticulously that he had evenbought a new shirt, trousers and shoes. In the process however, he had drained all his little savings. They were supposed to leave at 10:00am but he came to the stage at 11:00 am when the group had left. Adding insult to injury, he did not have any money on him to transport himself. He also later confessed that he did not even know where the conference centre was. "We managed to collect sh2,000 for him to travel by taxi, but we were stunned when he told us that he did not even know where the conference centre was," someone said. The man sat on the ground several times, stood up and sat again before walking back to his home. He was heard saying that it was unfortunate his candidate did not give him priority. Ends
