Cattle disease attacks Kayunga

By Vision Reporter THE foot-and-mouth cattle disease has hit Kayunga district, the district veterinary officer, Dr. Robert Mugabi, has said. Mugabi said the disease has attacked Bbaale and Ggaliraya counties. He said they had started sensitising the locals about the disease. He said the district has received CBPB drugs from the agriculture ministry for vaccination of cattle in the affected area. Mugabi appealed to local leaders to ensure that animals in their areas are vaccinated to curb further spread of the disease in the district. He said since they were selling their cattle to other districts, “their is need to work hard to protect the market.”
