By Vision Reporter POLICE yesterday arrested Radio Simba journalist Paul Chiwa Kurtna and Chicago United coach John Kimbowa in connection with the disappearance of sh5m from Rebecca Kazibwe funds drive. CID acting director Elizabeth Kuteesa said Police picked interest in the case and would follow it up to its conclusion. “We are quizzing them, we shall take appropriate action thereafter,” she said. The two together with Charles Ssebugwawo and Peter Zikusooka from Star FM initiated a sh10m fundraising drive for Express cheerlady ‘Mama Becca’ to undergo an operation on her swollen legs in South Africa. It was reported last week that about sh8m was collected but Kazibwe received only sh3m and the account that had been opened at Tropical African Bank had been closed. Ssebugwawo is reported on the run while Zikusooka had been exonerated. Cops picked the two at the Movement Secretariat while negotiating with one Hudson Senkayi the mode of refund. Senkayi said the bank statement they produced was sh5m less from the over sh8m they had collected. They reportedly asked to be allowed to pay sh100,000 per month each. Those who contributed include First Lady Janet Museveni, Movement vice chairman Hajji Moses Kigongo, minister Bidandi Ssali and FUFA among others. Ends
