Ugandan Beauties Bask In Libya

SEVENTY Ugandans, among them Miss Uganda Victoria Nabunya and some Ziper models, are in Libya to attend the 32nd anniversary of the Al Fatah revolution today.

By Eva Nabagesera SEVENTY Ugandans, among them Miss Uganda Victoria Nabunya and some Ziper models, are in Libya to attend the 32nd anniversary of the Al Fatah revolution today. Libyan ambassador Abdalla Bujeldian, who saw them off at Entebbe on Thursday, said Libya had organised a festival to promote African culture through fashion and music. “All African countries have been invited as a reflection of the African unity which we’re trying to build,” he said. Toro Queen Mother Best Kemigisha, musician Kaweesa and Miss Uganda runners-up Juliet Epenu and Natasha Sinayobye and journalists left on Libyan Arab Airways. Bujeldian thanked the ministries of gender and foreign affairs for facilitating the trip. He was also grateful to Sylvia Owori, Ziper Models chief, for accepting the invitation to host a fashion show in Libya. “It is a reflection of the good relations between Uganda and Libya, the strength of our alliance, and a good example for other African countries,” he said. All costs for the week-long visit will be covered by the Libyan government. Ends
