KAWEMPE Division policemen in Kampala, have castigated prostitutes who ‘play’ with men while watching pornographic films in video halls. Tomson Ogole, the division commander recently said they have received reports that sex workers at the division enter video halls free of charge to watch obscene films but men engage the prostitutes to demonstrate what is on the screen. The most affected places are Bwaise in kawaala Zone. Kimombasa and Jambula, he said. “There are alarming reports of prostitution and sex workers in this division. We have been told about many bad practices that those women are involved in,” Ogole told The New Vision at his Kawempe office. He said in some places more than four prostitutes play with their men at the same time in the same room. Some sex workers have been taking nude photographs for sale and advertising themselves in the sex trade. The Division’s Community Development Officer said some of the women expose their private parts to interested parties at a given fee. “If arrested, we shall certainly charge them with the offence,” he said. ends
