‘Chiefs Have No Power’

MUKONO — Mukono district LC5 chairman Godfrey Kiwanuka Musisi has said Mengo county chiefs do not have power to evict lower local governments from their properties. “As far as I know, Mengo government has no powers to evict any local councils from occupying its buildings. They must pass through Parliament,’’ he said. He was meeting sub-county chiefs and the LC3 chairpersons in the district at the Community Centre Hall on Friday. Ends
