SC VILLA defender James Kayimba has quit. The Sierra-Leon born player yesterday asked the club to release him to a team of his choice, reports Daniel Saire. Kayimba accused Villa officials of making his life hard. He was reacting to reports that quoted acting manager, Kevin Aliro, who said that Kayimba and temperamental striker Andrew Mukasa had been suspended. The two failed to join camp last week for a league match against KCC that aborted at Namboole. Kayimba said that club officials turned down his request to train while coming from home. Villa, meanwhile, open their Kakungulu cup title defence today against first division side Masaka LC at Namboole. If Villa wins, it will meet the KCC-Police match winner while Heroes which has already qualified, plays the winner between Express and Simba at semi finals stage. ends
