Vacancies (3) Nile Breweries is a dynamic, growing, result-oriented and market leading Beverage Company in Uganda. It is seeking to recruit well qualified, proactive, dynamic persons in its Procurement Department 1. PLANNING AND RESEARCH OFFICER (1) Qualifications: -A Science or Business degree from a recognized University and part qualification in CIPS. - Experience in supply chain function may be an advantage but not a prerequisite Key Role: - Planning the materials requirements as derived from the Sales and Production Plan. Responsibilities: - Daily collection of actual production and sales figures - ranslation of the sales/production figures into materials requirements. - Confirmation of the availability of the materials either in the store or on order. - Preparation of Bid documents. - Preperation of the request for proposal (RFP). - Preparadon of suppliers conferences. - Organization of suppliers, review meetings and minute staction plan and follow up. - Management of goods contracts. - Maintenance of the supplier review calendar - Supervision of consignment stock suppliers Attributes: - A positively aggressive team player and pleasant character, willing learner, innovative and highly motivated. - Must be willing to study Purchasing (CIPS) as a profession if not yet a member. 2. SUPPLIES OFFICER (1) Qualifications. Business Degree from a recognised University and part qualification in CIPS. Key Role Administration of the Procurement Office. Responsibilities. - Receive all purchase requisitions and request for quotations from suppliers. - Preparation of purchase orders and obtaining the relevant signatories. - Distribution of purchase orders to the suppliers - Receiving all in-coming calls and fax messages to the department - Typing of all import documents, i.e. Forms Es - Develop and maintain an efficient filing system through indexing, referencing and filing for all purchases. - Assist other staff as pool secretary when necessary. - Maintaining a list of approved suppliers and their files. - Assist the general administration of the office. - Public Relations Officer to the department. - Maintain the leave roster for the department in liaison with Human Resource. - Preparation of the travel arrangements for the department. Attributes: - Pleasant person, team player and willing to work long hours. - Must he willing to study Purchasing (CIPS) as a profession if not yet a member. 3. LOGISTICS OFFICER (1) Qualifications. - Business degree from a recognised University or First Class Diploma in either Clearing and Forwarding or MLOG. - Experience in freight forwarding and customs clearance may be an advantage Key Role: Prompt delivery of goods and services. Responsibilities - Processing of all import papers including payments through the banks - Expediting the delivery of all purchases in liaison with the Clearing Agents. - Expediting the payment of Customs Duty. - Customs clearance at all ports of entry. - Management of bonds. - Processing of marine insurance and claims with the insurance for loss in transit. - Expediting the delivery of all locally sourced goods. - Supervising the offloading of all goods delivery Attributes - Highly motivated individual, good negotiator and willing to work hard and long hours and good team player. - A valid driving licence may be an advantage.
