Ugandans in London will celebrate Independence Day in London today with the second annual crowning of Miss Uganda UK 2001 at the East London’s Stratford Rex Hall.

Ugandans in London will celebrate Independence Day in London today with the second annual crowning of Miss Uganda UK 2001 at the East London’s Stratford Rex Hall. The contest is being organised by Mega Force Entertainment in conjunction with Voice of Africa 107.7 FM. Live on stage will be Glamma Kid with Sweetest Taboo, Chameleon with Mama Mia, Ragga Dee with Njagala Dance, Roselyn Otim with Jewel of the Nile and Peter Miles with Ugandan sensation. Judges will include Sarah Amin of S. Restaurant and former wife of Idi Amin, Sylivia Owor of Slyvie’s Boutique, Yunus Ssengo of Club 19A, and Victoria Nalwadda a top bridal designer. The first prize will be two flight tickets to New York City with $1000 spending money plus a free photo shoot and a PR contract. Second prize is two tickets two Ibiza, Spain with spending money. ends
