By Norman Katende The national coaches’ seminar organised by Uganda Football Coaches Association (UFCA) ended yesterday with assistant general secretary Michael Mutebi calling upon members not to re-elect FUFA vice chairman technical, Polly Ouma. The UFCA elections for delegates to the FUFA assembly, is slated for late November. Ouma together with Asuman Lubowa were the coaches’ delegates to the dissolved FUFA assembly. Ouma did not attend the seminar held over three days at Namboole. He however qualifies for the December 2 polls by virtue of being an executive member. “How should we elect them back in office if they can not do what is expected from them,” said Mutebi who has just come back from a coaching course in Germany. “We should not allow this to happen. I am not campaigning but I have to speak the truth,” he said amidst cheers Mutebi said that it was time to elect delegates willing to serve and cooperate. National Council of Sports assistant general secretary John Odyek also rapped Super Division clubs that failed to attend the seminar. Only Simba, SCOUL and KCC were represented. “These people should pull up their socks for football development. You can tell where our football is going,” said Odyek after hearing that only three of the 15 super division clubs were represented. FUFA was not represented at the closing ceremony. ends
