By Lillian Nalumansi UGANDA National Examinations Board (UNEB) Secretary Matthew Bukenya has said pregnant students should be allowed to sit the ongoing Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations. “My regulations allow that a student whether pregnant or with HIV/AIDS should be allowed into the examination room. We do not find any problem with this because being pregnant is not an offence,” Bukenya told The New Vision. He said he was surprised that an eight-month-pregnant senior six student of Masaka Secondary School was allowed to sit her exams under a ‘Police bond’ after the Police and district authorities intervened on her behalf. Meanwhile, an impersonator arrested while attempting to sit a paper for a candidate at Lugogo Examinations Centre on Wednesday was identified as Nelson Ahimbisibwe. He reportedly completed his ‘A’ levels two years ago. Ends
