By Steven Candia THE Inspector General of Police, Maj. Gen. Katumba Wamala, on Saturday hosted about 500 police officers’ children to a party at Kibuli Police hall. The party was intended to relax the children in candidate classes, who are about to sit for their Primary Leaving Examinations and those already sitting for the Uganda Certificate of Education. “I thought we could get our children together under a different atmosphere other than the school and classroom so that they can have a relaxed mind,” Katumba said. He asked the children to feel free and enjoy themselves. He also danced with them. “At least for this moment, I want all of you to shut out everything about school and the classroom and relax. This should be a different atmosphere from what you have been going through every time,” he said. The party was attended by Nsambya parish priest, Canon Joy Kaddu, a representative of the commandant of the Police Training School, Zubairi Simwero, and the headmaster Police Children’s School, Stephen Legesi.
