By Dismus Buregyeya STATE minister for finance (Investments) Sam Kutesa has asked leaders and residents of Sembabule district to avoid tribalism. He said this recently at a farewell party for the out-going Sembabule Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Margaret Baryehuki, at the district headquarters. He castigated politicians who used tribalism to enlist support. “Those who use sectarianism during campaigns are cowards and internally inadequate since their personal ideas are not convincing,” he said. In response to reports that some people had hurled stones at each over Baryehuki’s transfer, he said it was not easy to control violence once it had started and that it was mainly the innocent who were the victims. “Stop violence in politics. Those who do so are playing with fire,” he said. He hailed Baryehuki for being a tireless mobiliser and staunch Movement supporter. She was recently transferred to Nakasongola after serving Sembabule since the NRM Goverment came to power. Ends
