By Phillip Corry FLORIDA-based Ugandan boxer Kassim “The Dream” Ouma (pictured right) will fight Pedro Ortega of Mexico today at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA. It will be the first fight for the Ugandan since tying up a long-term contract with Peltz Boxing Promotions recently. Ortega goes into the fight with a record of 22 wins, eight loses and 18 knockouts. The fight will be televised live on ESPN (not ESPN2). On the same card will be a ten-round fight between junior welterweight contender Ray Oliveira and Omar Weis. Ouma ranked by WBC at number 16, has defeated highly rated opponents like Alex Bunema, Tony Marshall, and Verno Phillips. Ouma, a resident of West Palm Beach, Florida, is managed by James Rowan and trained by former champion Johnny Bumphus. The Ugandan pugilist targets fighting WBC champion Oscar De La Hoya early next year. ends
