Sir - Iam referring to your article " FUFA Now Ltd" October 23, 2000. Obua survived a vote of no confidence but announced wisely that FUFA becomes " Ltd by guarantee" company Federation. For those who may not know you can still hold democratic assemblies/elections under the system. But Obua says the Italian marketing giants can only finance, market promote FUFA only if it's Ltd. Very true indeed, and Bravo FUFA for the decision. Now we can go to professional football! But alas, the National Council of Sports outdated Act of 1964 doesn't allow it to handle Ltd associations! And yet Government has liberalised the economy and said categorically: "No funds any more for sports." Are we going to see NCS throw out FUFA like they attempted to throw out AAU (Automobile Association of Uganda), the association for the most expensive discipline, motorsport? NCS still fights AAU for the Ltd tag! Now FUFA has also come. Therefore NCS is going to fight the two most popular sports disciplines in Uganda today. Let's wait and see the moment NCS buys one World Rally Car (USD$300,000=) for one rally driver. In 1964 Government financed all sports fully, but not now!
