By Douglas Mazune CHIPPER Adams yesterday clocked three minutes 22:37 seconds to win the UMOSPOC Omega sprint at Entebbe Beach circuit. Chipper powered the Mitsubishi Evolution V to beat challenger Charlie Lubega also in a Mitsubishi Evo.4 by two seconds to win the poorly organised sprint that came to an abrupt end due to time factor. The second double track run was called off after time could not allow another race and spectators had already got into the route thinking the event had ended at around 5.45 pm. The delay of the event whose clerk of course was James Opoka started when the first run used on a single track was cancelled after times posted by the drivers were messed up. Drivers were not happy with the way Opoka used the single track in the first run that caused the delay. Chipper said the formula was bad. "This is a small track and needs two cars at a go. I am not happy." Lumala, Kuku Ranjit and Arthur Blick came third, fourth and fifth respectively in the event whose winner was decided from the only successful double track run. Ends.
