By Charles Wendo and agencies ONE of the seven Kenyans, who participated in the funeral of Ebola victims in Masindi, Uganda has become ill in Busia, Kenya, medical officials have said. Dr. Walter Kayawaya of Busia District Hospital said George Ekokwa had fallen ill on his return from Uganda last week. Hospital workers have isolated him for a check. Uganda's Ebola task force chairman Dr. Sam Okware yesterday said they were trying to get an update from the Kenyan medical authorities. He, however, said the people in eastern Uganda need not panic, because Ekokwa's home in Nambale was far from the border. "They had already put him under quarantine. I had a rough idea about it, but it is far away from the border," he said. Ekokwa and his wife travelled to Kaduku II village in Kigumba sub-county to bury a relative on October 28. Ends.
