Nagenda hails UCA readiness

By Leo Kabunga PREPARATIONS by the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) for the Africa Under-19 Cricket championships due in Kampala from January 3 to 10 are in high gear. Presidential Advisor on Media and Public Relations John Nagenda -a former UCA boss - on Saturday hailed the executive for advance preparations for the forthcoming continental championship. Nagenda and UCA officials past and present, toured the oval at Lugogo and Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo (UPK), that are being refurbished for the continental meet. Nagenda was shown the UPK oval sh50m project by the Africa U-19 youth coordinator Abbey Lutaya . Nagenda hailed UCA fraternity for ensuring their leadership is exemplary. He said they showed firmness by stopping incompetent persons running UCA. UCA construction engineer Sam Sewagudde said that work at Kyambogo is to include an all-weather parking yard, pavilion, score board, site screens and practice nets. Ends.
