Graduates advised to get more qualifications

By Stephen Ilungole MAKERERE University graduates have been urged to beef up their degrees with post graduate degrees, diplomas and other specialised training if they are to compete favourably in the job market. Mr. Joseph Nanseera, the Commissioner in the Public Service Commission said this is the only way to give graduates an edge over other professionals since the level of unemployment in the country is very high. "Do not be contented with the first degrees but beef them up with other qualifications, like professional courses, post graduate degrees, diplomas and other specialised training opportunities," Nanseera said.
