The secret came out at a wedding party for the brother of the ill-fated woman. Her fiance was present. Rose, 32, had always told Muwanga, her boyfriend, that she was a virgin. At the party held in Mbarara town, Rose's father introduced all his children and grandchildren. "That is my second born, Rose. She has two children. They can stand up for recognition," he jubilantly said as Rose's children stood. He went ahead and said, the boy was in S.2 and the girl in S.1. Muwanga was shocked. He marched out of the hall.
