DENNIS Musali led Uganda to a clean sweep in two international friendly Twnety20 matches against Rwanda hosted in Mbarara over the weekend.
The national cricket body gave the chance to youngsters from the U-19 squad to take on the Rwandans and they did not disappoint, winning the first game by 5 wickets and second by 49 runs.
In the first game on Saturday at the newly renovated Kakyeka stadium, Musali knocked 36 runs as Uganda overtook Rwanda’s total of 85 with 5 wickets to spare.
In the Sunday game, Uganda was put in to bat and a combination of Musali (33), Arnold Otwani (34) and Derrick Bakunzi (22*) saw them put on 149/7 in the allotted 20 overs.
The Rwandans replied with 100/8 in the 20 overs with Samal (25) and Christian Mwijanda (18*) putting up some resistance.
On the local scene, Patidar shocked Castle XI, Tornado B and ACC in Group B as they stayed on course for their maiden title in the Uganda Twenty20 cricket league.
