JOHN Baptist Okello, the Dokolo district LC5 chairman, has sacked his vice- chairman and secretary for finance and administration after he won the seat.

Okello dropped Joseph Enyonu Enyabo, who contested against him on the NRM ticket and replaced him with Beatrice Abang (independent), who is the woman LC5 councilor for Bata sub-county.

Okello sought for his re-election on the FDC ticket and garnered 14,599 votes. Enyonu polled 14,440 and the district speaker, Peter Ogwang Okwir, who was contesting on a UPC ticket, got 5,182 votes.

Angelous Ocen Ogwal, the district secretary for finance and administration was replaced by Joyce Nasiga Tilla (NRM), the woman councilor for Kangai sub-county.

Ogwal criticised the move, saying the new appointments wer e supposed to be approved by the council.

“The reshuffle was politically motivated because what I know, I have never done anything wrong and even in my sub-county Okello got many votes,” said Ogwal who is the district UPC chairman.

Okello said the move was aimed at enhancing service delivery and development to the people of Dokolo.

“I want all the parties represented so that we are able to deliver services effectively to our communities,” he said.
