UPDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Felix Kulayigye has urged students of Mbarara University to fight corruption starting in their homes.

“When you receive pocket money and don’t account for it at the end of the term, that is corruption. In churches and mosques, we collect funds but there is no accountability for the expenditure, that is also corruption,” he said.

Kulayigye was addressing the students at the university on Monday. He was invited by the anti-corruption club to discuss the concept of corruption.

He said corruption in the country was growing at a rate of 44% a year.
