FORMER candidates for the Zombo Woman MP seat have agreed to work with the new MP to promote development in the district.

Grace Monokuma and Joanita Ngabiroch said they would support the MP-elect Grace Freedom Kwinyucwiny.

Kwinyucwiny told Saturday Vision that she would work with her rivals to achieve her goals for the district.

She appealed to them to focus on building a harmonious and prosperous district through co-operation and focus on developmental issues.

Monokuma said Kwiyucwiny should ensure the education of girls. She said many girls drop out of school because they lack guidance on the benefits of education.

She called upon Kwiyucwiny to lobby for more health centres in the district.

Monokuma wants Kwiyucwiny to solve the issue of encroachment on Lendu Forest.

“My agenda is about participatory development, where all the stakeholders are involved not only with who has won. All we need is to join hands to develop the district,” Ngabiroch said.

Zombo was carved out of Nebbi district in July 2010.
