THE Supreme Mufti of the Kibuli faction Zubairi Kayongo has warned the youth against participating in demonstrations.

“You should desist from disrupting the country’s peace. Those with issues should approach the people concerned. Together we will live a peaceful life,” Kayongo said.

He made the remarks on Wednesday during the funeral service of Hajji Shaban Ssebagala, the father of Kampala mayor Nasser Ntege Sebaggala, in Kisasi, Kawempe division.

Shaban died of heart complications on Wednesday morning at the age of 93. He is survived by 25 children and over 100 grandchildren.

Finance state minister Fred Omach, who represented the Government, praised Shaban Ssebagala for being disciplined and a good businessman who inspired many into business.

He delivered President Yoweri Museveni’s contribution of sh5m and sh600,000 from the State House employees towards the funeral expenses.

Prince Kassim Kakungulu said as mourners celebrated the life of Shaban, they should empower the youth as he did, in order to develop the country.

Kakungulu described Shaban as a religious man and a hardworking parent.

Mayor Sebaggala described his father as trustworthy, loving and a good leader.

Present were MPs and businessmen, including DP president Norbert Mao, Kampala Central MP Erias Lukwago, Luwero LC5-elect Abdul Naduli and city businessman Mutasa Kafeero.
