MPs throw out Tinyefunza's aides

THE chairperson of the Parliamentary committee on Presidential affairs, Bernabus Tinkasimire, on Wednesday threw out two aides of the Coordinator of Intelligence services, Gen. David Tinyefunza, accusing them of spying on members on behalf of their boss.

THE chairperson of the Parliamentary committee on Presidential affairs, Bernabus Tinkasimire, on Wednesday threw out two aides of the Coordinator of Intelligence services, Gen. David Tinyefunza, accusing them of spying on members on behalf of their boss.

A tough talking Tinkasimire said he cannot allow the aided to stay in the committee room because members were not comfortable with their presence.

He had threatened to ask Parliament Police to arrest the two aides accusing them of having sneaked into the committee room illegally.

One only identified as Mutokambaali and Sewava Mukasa, an NRM Youth leader are attached to Gen. Tiyefunza’s office went to Parliament to listen to the committee proceedings over the controversial house belonging to Kampala Capital City Authority.

After he was shown exist, Mutokambaali told The New Vision that he is being witch hunted by Tinkasimire.
“I think he has personal problems, I am entitled to being in any of a Parliament committee room because am a Ugandan but I had to respect his decision,” he said.

MPs on the committee had expected to listen to the minister for Presidency Kabakumba Masiko and General David Tinyefunza but the duo did not turn.
