INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) FOR;

Consultancy Services for development of the Proposed National High Altitude Centre(NHATC) at Teryet, Kapchworwa District. (Procurement Ref. No.MoES/Srvcs/11-12/0218)

OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING

1 The Ministry of Education and Sports intends to develop National High Altitude Centre at Teryet, Kapchworwa District.

2 The Ministry of Education and Sports on behalf of the Government of Uganda invites sealed proposals from eligible Consultants for the provision of the above services.

3. Bids will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic bidding a procedure contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Regulation.

4. Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Education and Sports and inspect bidding documents at the Address shown in Para... 6 below during working days with effect from 27/12/2011between 9.00am-5.00pm.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased at a non-refundable fee of UGX.100, 000/= (One hundred thousand Uganda shillings). Interested bidders should obtain bank payment advice forms from the Office of the Cashier on 5th Floor, Embassy House and pay at the designated bank. On presentation of proof of payment, bidding documents may then be collected from the Procurement and Disposal Unit Room 7.10.

6. Bids must be delivered not later than 18th January,2012 to the address below not later than 3.00 p.m. clearly marked;
(Proposal for Consultancy Services for development of NHATC Teryet) These will be opened in the presence of bidders’
representatives who will choose to attend in the Boardroom of Embassy House, 7th Floor, Room 7.7 at 3.10p.m. Local time on the same day. Late Bids will be rejected and returned unopened to bidders.

7. There will be a Pre-bid meeting on 5th January 2012 in the Ministry Boardroom of Embassy House, 7th Floor,Room 7.7 starting at 10.00 am. Local time.

8. The Ministry of Education and Sports is not bound by the highest or lowest bidder.
