The Archbishop of Uganda, Henry Luke Orombi has counseled Ugandans who feel they are burdened not to lose hope but seek God to deal with all their problems.

The Archbishop’s counsel of hope was contained in his Christmas message which he delivered to the country from All Saints Cathedral in Kampala.

“The year 2012 is a year of hope. But to those who do not know God it is a year of uncertainty,” Orombi said. “You should know that God sees all your tears and understands the burdens of your heart. God is concerned about his np0eople and is eminent…,” he added.

Though there are still some people who oppose the station of Jesus, the Archbishop said that Jesus the Son of God had to be born the way he was so that he could fulfill his mission of re-uniting man with God.

He said that Jesus had to be born in order to die so that humanity that was destined for eternal death could be rescued.

God saw the misery of His people and said He will come down and rescue them. Jesus came in a way that shows the humility of God. He came in the human form so that you and I can understand God and he calls us not to fear.

The Archbishop asked the Christians to share their Christmas festivities with their neighbors who could not afford.

The service was attended among others by the Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi, Chief Justice, Benjamin Odoki,  Chief of Defence Forces Aronda Nyakairima  and opposition politicians who included Cecilia Ogwal of the Forum For Democratic Change (FDC).
