He is one of the most cerebrated Ugandan sports personalities, at least for the moment, and very many sports lovers in the Pearl of Africa know the motor mouthed kick-boxing sensation Moses Golola.

However, when it comes to the Whiteman’s creations, Golola is like any other ordinary man, who will jump onto any means of transport available in order to meet his immediate programme schedule. Especially when in a faraway place like Kabale and he wants to accomplish a mission in Kampala.

This is what happened to our man, who has been down in the cold environs of Kabale, training ahead of his international fight with Hungarian Andras Nagy due December 9 at Hotel Africana.

Golola and crew had to leave Kabale on a low, by booking seats in the Posta Bus as their car reportedly got a mechanical problem before they left.

“We have travelled by public means because our car got a mechanical problem, so we could not travel privately,” said Golola’s trainer Fasir Diku.

A fortnight ago, Golola relocated to the quiet Bushara Island on Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, where he has been going through intensive training.

He embarked to taking the local Bakiga energy giving porridge in addition to crashing stones as a way of enhancing his strength, before he was reportedly sent packing by the authorities at the facility as a result of the noise he was ‘emitting’ during his drills.

According to fight promoters Kweli Productions, Golola’s  meet with Nagy will be the first ever World Kickboxing Federation (WKF) Intercontinental title fight in Uganda and will have nine undercards featuring fighters from five different countries.
