In 1962, Uganda had one Television station (Uganda Television), one radio station (Radio Uganda) and one Telecommunication company (Uganda Posts and Telecommunications) all state owned.

 

In 1962, Uganda had one Television station (Uganda Television), one radio station (Radio Uganda) and one Telecommunication company (Uganda Posts and Telecommunications) all state owned. Today, Uganda has 244 operating radio stations, 41 TV station (both free to air and pay TV) and 5 mobile phone operators.
