Two privately-owned primary schools in Amolatar district have been closed indefinately over poor sanitation and operating without licences.

Two privately-owned primary schools in Amolatar district have been closed indefinately over poor sanitation and operating without licences.

The schools are Ambassador of Hope and Life in King Jesus primary schools District authorities closed both schools located in Arwot cek sub-county recently. The schools were were also located in the same area with market.

Richard Ogwang, the Amolatar resident district commissioner, said the 19 students who registered for Primary Leaving Examinations in the two schools had been transferred to nearby schools.

“The directors of these two schools were extorting money from unsuspecting persons. Primary One to Primary Four pupils shared a classroom and the school was located in a market,” Ogwang said.

“Life in King Jesus Primary School did not have dormitories, instead it accomodated both boys and girls in one house,” Ogwang explained.
