A court in Nsangi, Wakiso district has remanded a businessman over making illegal developments in a national forest reserves.
Lawrence Walakira Musisi, a resident of Lwamunda in Bujuko, Mpigi district was on Thursday remanded to prison until September 29 after being accused of making illegal developments in Lwamunda Central Forestry Reserve in Mpigi district.
Joseph Yoga, an investigating officer with the National Forestry Authority (NFA), said the accused was licensed to plant trees in the forestry reserve but later started building houses.
