POLICE in Kampala have arrested a 32-year-old Muslim cleric for allegedly stealing a cow.
POLICE in Kampala have arrested a 32-year-old Muslim cleric for allegedly stealing a cow.
Kammadah Kiyingi, a resident of Lungujja was last Friday netted together with Edward Sentongo, a resident of Busega and Hassan Lubowa, a resident of Kosovo.
Lungujja residents said Kiyingi had always been chased from different mosques over theft. The owner of the cow, Abudalatif Bukenya, said: “I woke up at around 2:00am, only to find my cow missing. I looked for it and found these people slaughtering it from the bush.â€
The officer in charge of Nateete police station, Inspector Wilson Salam said the three would be charged with theft after police investigations were completed.
