“With the commitment from all the players, we want to make sure Mbarara City finishes in the top four in the league. Previously, when we went top of the league, there was a lot of pressure but we are handling this well to make sure we return to the top,” stated Mucureezi.

Mucureezi speaking after he was named the November Pilsner player of Month in Kampala.

He also walked away with a cash prize of sh1m. Just like Mucureezi, Livingstone Mbabazi, the Mbarara City tactician won coach of the month accolade also received the same prize money.

The cash was handed over to the winners by Edgar Kihumulo, the Pilsner brand manager.

Mbarara City CEO Sadam Mugalura received the cash prize on behalf of coach Mbabazi who didn’t attend the function.

This was the second month Pilsner was awarding the best performers of the month. League top scorer (seven goals) Joel Madondo from Kirinya Jinja SS and Vipers’ Javier Martinez Espinoza were named the best players for the month of October.
