A team of seven officials from soccer governing body FUFA have inspected facilities in Kumi municipality ahead of the 2017/18 Stanbic Uganda Cup final scheduled for May 27.

The inspection team was headed by FUFA executive committee members Hamid Juma, Agnes Mugena, Richard Ochom, John Odong the chairperson, North East Region Football Association,the FUFA Competitions Director Hajjati Aisha Nalule, Ahmed Hussein, the FUFA communications manager, and Esther Musoke, the FUFA marketing director.

Boma play-ground, Kumi Technical School and Bishop Maraka College playground were some of the proposed facilitates that were inspected.

"We conducted a tour of facilities in Kumi municipality. We checked all the playing fields presented and the hotels as well as the project where the Social Corporate Responsibility cause will be aligned," stated Juma.

Holders KCCA will travel to Hoima to face FUFA Big League side Kitara, while Kampala Junior Team (KJT) face SC Villa at Villa Park.

Winners of the Uganda Cup represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
