The Member of Parliament for Ruhinda North County in Mitooma District, Thomas Tayebwa, has pledged 98 percent support to President Museveni in the upcoming general elections.

Speaking at President Museveni's campaign rally today (December 3) at Kirambi Ruhinda Market Place playground, Tayebwa praised the President for granting Mitooma District status and pledged to mobilise support across Greater Bushenyi to achieve a 98 percent turnout.

He also expressed gratitude to First Lady Maama Janet Museveni for her prayers for the country, noting that peace remains one of Uganda’s most important achievements.

Tayebwa appealed to the President to support Mitooma farmers with fertilisers to boost harvests and requested government assistance in securing land titles for families who settled in the area in the 1950s.

The deputy speaker also asked the President to consider installing an electric fence around Queen Elizabeth National Park to protect residents’ gardens from wild animals.
