Henry Maseruka has got the claim top spot in the Club Man Rally Championship (CRC) following the withdrawal of Michael Mukula jr. from the SMC Bwera rally in Masaka and Sembabule districts.

Mukula lost his daughter and could not be part of the rally on the weekend.

“We were ready for Masaka but my driver lost a daughter and we could not continue the plan,” Edward Kiyingi, Mukula’s navigator told vision Sport.

The withdrawal gives Maseruka who is second on the log with 44 points, a chance to close to take lead if he wins the CRC category in Masaka and scores 20 points.

Mukula has won all his previous events and leads the log with 60 points.

Mukula joins Hassan Alwi who also withdrew from the event due to a busy business schedule.

Dauda, Jona Kansime, and Lubega finished the just concluded UMC Fort Portal Tourism Rally in first, second and third positions respectively and they are looking to replicate that in Masaka
