The stakes have never been higher. Every throw counts and carries weight as the darts league reaches its ultimate climax on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Mamerito Hotel.
League leaders Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF) are targeting a clean sweep in their three remaining games to defend the title they won last year.
However, challengers Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) also have their eyes on the trophy.
UPDF's top players, Stephen Abibi, Solomon Omara, Rashid Abdul, David Ogwang, Daniel Ogwal, and Harriet Akot, will shoulder the responsibility for the Bombo-based side as they look to extend their lead at the top of the log.
Two wins and a draw will secure the title defense for UPDF. Senior player Stephen Abibi has cautioned his teammates against complacency, telling them that every game is a final.
"We only need four more points to be declared champions. So, our games against Police and title contenders Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) will be tougher," Abibi said. "There should be no complacency."
With 47 points—three ahead of challenger UWA—UPDF cannot afford to lose any game. Abibi urged his colleagues to exercise maximum discipline and avoid any distractions.
In the other matches of the day, Uganda Cancer Institute faces Pearl Darts Club, Bank of Uganda takes on Leisure-Tec, KOBS plays Silver Springs, and Prisons faces Bank of Uganda.
