Cesar Manzoki dominates SUPL awards

Cesar Manzoki says he will continue to build his football story in Uganda. 

Manzoki whose contract expires at the end of this month was hesitant to talk about his future at Vipers. 

"I want to give myself time concerning my contract. I came here to write a story in Uganda and not for money. I want to continue to change the story of my club. I want to continue to help the team and country. I want to help my club progress in the champions league," he stated.
 


The Vipers forward said after he walked away with six awards on Friday evening during the Pilsner StarTimes Uganda Premier League awards in Kampala.

As the player with the most assists (nine) in the league, Manzoki took home the best goalscorer (18 goals), players' player of the season, best forward, player of the season award, and was also part of the best eleven.

The Fairplay of the season award went to UPDF for collecting only 29 yellow cards and one red card.

Coaches player of the season award went to Onduparaka skipper Muhammad Shaban who scored 15 goals, while the young player of the season accolade was won by Arua Hill forward Rashid  Kawawa who had eight goals and one assist. He also during the season won three accolades of player of the month.

Arua Hill goalkeeper Richard Anyama was the best goalscorer after recording 11 clean sheets in 18 games, while Vipers skipper Halid Lwaliwa was the best defender.

Siraje Ssentamu of Vipers was the best midfielder while Vipers boss Lawrence Mulindwa won the Plantium award following his achievement in the game.

KCCA FC fan Richard Kikawa was the best fan and he walked away with sh5m from sponsors Pilsner.

The best eleven had goalkeeper Richard Anyama (Arua Hill) James Begesa (UPDF), Herbert Achai (KCCA), Halid Lwaliwa (Vipers), Bright Vuni (Arua Hill), Siraje Ssentamu (Vipers), Bobosi Byaruhanga (Vipers), Milton Marisa (Vipers), Manzoki (Vipers), Simon Peter Oketch (BUL) and Muhammad Shaban (Onduparaka).
