Just after his successful 3-1 victory over Vipers FC  that saw him guide BUL FC to their first Uganda Cup title, BUL FC head coach Alex Isabirye has refuted reports linking him to former side URA FC.

Media reports indicated that Isabirye and Sam Ssimbwa had been listed as favourites for the tax collectors' job.

"I recently signed a four-year contract with BUL FC in which I set myself to help the club finish in the top five. I do not see myself leaving my job for another," said Isabirye.

Club CEO Joseph Mutaka clarified that Isabirye still has a four contract with the club.

"We told him to help the club finish in the top five using these youthful players but he won the Uganda Cup with them, so we cannot part ways now," said Mutaka.

Isabirye, however, disclosed that he will have a target of finishing in the top three next season then after, try to challenge for the title in two years.
