Koona Dance workout instructors have urged the public to regularly work out to fight sedentary lifestyle diseases.

Felix Okumu, one of the instructors, says exercising keeps the body fit and boosts immunity.

The call came during the end of year Koona Dance event at the MTN Arena in Lugogo, Kampala, on Saturday.

The event was aimed at raising awareness about fitness and wellness.

"Amid COVID-19, Ebola, and who knows what comes next, we need to prepare our bodies to resist the emerging pandemics and epidemics by being physically fit," he said.

Okumu said a physically fit person will not suffer much from the effects of sickness.
