Beauty Queen, Uganda Airlines join Vision Group's Bride and Groom Expo

The Expo will take place at UMA show grounds in Lugogo between July 29th and 31st and over 6000 Ugandans are expected to attend.

KAMPALA - Former beauty Queen Dorah Mwima, Uganda Airlines and Uganda Breweries have come on board to partner with Vision Group to give Ugandans an exciting once-in-a-lifetime experience at this year’s Bride and Groom Expo. 

The trio was unveiled at the Vision Group offices in Kampala. 

Mwima, through her Queen Ma brand, is bringing on board accessibility to not only knowledge on managing the motherhood journey but also products that will make motherhood a worthwhile journey for women.

“We are a brand that believes in redefining motherhood, and in partnering with the Bride and Groom Expo, we want to reach out to the bride,” she said at the event. 

She added, “So many women will be coming to the Expo because they need guidance, help and service providers to make their big day memorable but then after that, the next step is having a baby. So we have to make sure that the bride is well equipped. She has all the information and is able to embark on motherhood knowing that it’s a worthwhile journey.” 

Queen Ma deals in an array of motherhood products including baby oils and oils for stretch marks, cellulite C-section scars, swollen legs, nausea and mastitis relievers, breast milk and libido boosters, weight loss and weight gain products, breast firmers, hair products and postpartum recovery belts, among others.

Uganda Airlines comes on board to ensure that those that will win Vision Group's offer of a holiday for four friends, and honeymoon to newlyweds, get a memorable travel experience. 

Deo Nyanzi, the manager sales and Marketing at Uganda airlines, said that they will give travel tickets to the winners. 

“As sponsors of the expo, we are happy to partner and offer the winning couple plus four other friends who win holiday air tickets. The winners will be contacted by Vision Group,” he said. 

Salem Cheman, the trade and quality manager at Uganda Breweries (UBL), said they are bringing on board the new Baileys Delight which is a unique blend of Baileys Irish cream and a taste of African honey.

“Weddings are ultimatum expressions of love as people commit to each other in the presence of other loved ones. These moments are cherished and true to our purposes as Uganda Breweries-Celebrating life every day everywhere- we would like to make these celebrations even more memorable with Baileys delight,” he said. 

He said they will have a special offer for their customers whereby whoever buys one carton of the 750ml of the drink, will get a free carton. He added that they will also have packages for weddings.

Don Wanyama, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vision Group lauded the partners for coming on board and assured them that there will be value for their money. 

“I am glad that Baileys Uganda, Queen Ma and Uganda Airlines are joining us. This expo is the biggest bridal Expo in town. For our sponsors and partners we want to assure you that you are going to get value for money,” he said. 

He noted that even after the event, they will continue to reap from the new customers they would have acquired. 

He appealed to Ugandans to attend the event and benefit from a variety of services that will be on offer including counselling and training sessions.
