Over the weekend, party people from around Kampala bars united in Naalya to sweat out the alcohol in their bodies.

The event, organised by Bay Lounge, was held at Abja Parks in Naalya estate under the theme; Let’s Go Healthy And Network.

The bar league attracted teams from around town and a guest team from Entebbe.

The aptly named Mulirwana (neighbour) team took the soccer trophy.

Beluga, Entebbe Goons and Hunters were the other prominent teams on the day.

The beauty of the union was that regular bar revellers had to come with their families, mainly children, and not necessarily spouses.

“Our aim is to go beyond the bar and also know where people live,” said Mark Yiga, one of the event organisers.

“Next month, we are aiming at collecting cash and items. We want to identify a children’s home and give them a hand, and still, we shall move with our children so that they know that their parents don’t just go to drink, but also to network as they think about this nation,” he added.

The children seemed to have more fun than their parents as most were seen participating in all the games.

The child winners got spontaneous gifts.

Revellers participated in over five different games, including sack racing, basketball, football and tug of war.
