The Deputy Kadhi of the North Bukedi region, who is also the district Kadhi for Pallisa, on Thursday morning disclosed that Hill View College Bulangira in Kibuku district has been identified to host the slaughtering of over 80 bulls to mark the Eid al-Adha celebrations scheduled for either Saturday or Sunday.

Sheikh Sulaiman Mujumbi said the animals have been donated by a Turkish corporation and co-ordinating Muslim organisations.

"The donation was given to our people because they were badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and the currently unpredictable weather, which makes it difficult for the Mohamedans to get animals for the celebration," he said.

"The meat will be distributed to all mosques in the districts of Kibuku, Butebo, Pallisa and Budaka for the identified needy," Mujumbi said.

Fred Magino, the executive director of Hill View College, said the function is welcome to the school.

The head of the Muslims Scripture Union in Pallisa and youth mobiliser, Hausi Njaye Byantalo, said among the people that will benefit are inmates of Kamuge, Kibuku, Budaka and Agule government prisons.
