Peter Kamya, a Kampala-based prominent entrepreneur and architect, is dead. 

Kamya reportedly breathed his last on Friday (December 02) morning in a Nairobi hospital.

The deceased is the former owner of Ssimbamannyo House which is located in the city centre, he is also the proprietor of Afrique Suites located in Mutungo.

According to his close associates, Kamya passed on Friday morning in Nairobi Hospital where he was rushed this week as his medical condition worsened.

"We have established that Mzee Kamya started feeling weak about four weeks ago. He was complaining about a heavy stomach, chest pain and headache. After about a week, the situation worsened and this situation nearly tore apart the family," a local media report intimated.

Adding that: "Some were for airlifting him for specialized checkups and treatment, whereas others insisted on keeping him around. The latter group won. After about two weeks, he was discharged in a fair condition,” reads an excerpt from a report.
