Farmers who want to supply the Oil and Gas sector have been advised to attend training pragrammes offered by various agencies in the sector.

Farmers who want to supply the Oil and Gas sector have been advised to attend training pragrammes that are being offered by various agencies in the sector.

The advice has been given by Tony Otoa, the CEO Stanbic Business Incubator during a media tour of the developments in the Albertine region.

The tour is organized by the CNOOC in partnership with TotalEnergies, Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC), ministry of Energy and the Petroleum Authority of Uganda- PAU.

“We advise farmers especially who would like to supply agricultural products to the oil and gas sector to attend our training programs since they are aimed at enabling them to do so in a professional manner,” said Otoa.

During the inspection process, the project manager of Stanbic Business Incubator in Hoima, Martin Musiime, led the tour around the model farms.

Some of the activities offered by Stanbic Business Incubator include; observation of quality standards required in oil and gas, how to grow agricultural products for business purposes, marketing skills and packaging among others.
