Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Katsigazi appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police
President Yoweri Museveni, who is also the Commander in Chief, has appointed Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Katsigazi Tumusiime to the office of Deputy Inspector of Uganda Police Force (UPF).
His name has now been forwarded to the Speaker of Parliament as required by law," said Faruk Kirunda, the Deputy Press Secretary to the President.
A senior military officer specializing in aviation, Katsigazi who has been Deputy Commander Air Force, will replace the Maj. Gen Paul Lokech who died in Kampala on August 21,
UPF is headed by the Inspector General of Police, Martin Okoth Ochola, who has served in the Police since 1985.
