A 15-year-old boy was Sunday crushed to death by a lorry that overturned in Myanzi village, Kasanda district. The boy was identified as Akram Ssenkayi. 

According to Racheal Kawala, a police officer in Kasanda, the driver of the Isuzu Forward registration number UBA 911B lost control and the vehicle overturned. He fled the scene after the incident.

According to the Police in the area, the accident left four other people injured.

The victims are Frank Kayiza, Ssenjobe Abdul, Muleme Muzafaru and Ssekaja. They were rushed to Mityana Hospital for treatment. 

The Police said that the body of the deceased had been taken to Mityana Hospital Mortuary for a post mortem. 

The vehicle was towed and parked at the Kakungube police post pending inspection. Police said that the driver is on the run, and efforts to have him arrested and brought to book are underway.
